Steroids Are a Common Cause of Glaucoma
Nasal steroids can cause glaucoma and lead to blindness. These medications should never have been approved for over-the-counter use. Even more so, the risk to children is greater, because the length of time that they may use these medicines without being seen for eyecare could even be more than for an adult. If you or a loved one, especially a child, uses nasal steroids, call InterMountain Eye Associates P. C. as soon as possible. You or they should have a comprehensive eye exam and be evaluated for Glaucoma, so that you don’t put yourself or your love ones at risk.
